On the morning of the next day, the sky had brightened and the birds outside the window chirped. The bright spring light penetrated the window and went into the room, giving it some warmth.

Jiang Ningbao was still in a daze when she woke up. When she heard the sounds outside, she immediately woke up and took her hair tie to tie her hair leisurely. She draped her outer wear and went down the bed. Yesterday, she could not sleep until it was midnight before she could sleep soundly.

“The rain finally stopped.” Jiang Ningao looked at the sunlight peeking from the window and her mood was good. It was good weather today and she could stroll the streets together with her older brother.

Chun Xi and Chun Le heard movement inside and Chun Xi immediately took in the equipment for washing one’s face in.

“Lady, you’re finally awake. Third young master is waiting for you to eat breakfast.” Chun Xi put the copper basin on the short rack and hurried to tidy the bed.

“Chun Xi, when will my brother come?” Jiang Ningbao asked while she washed her face.

“Third young master came when the sky just lit up.”

“That early?”

Jiang Ningbao’s face filled with surprise. Yesterday, her older brother rushed for the whole day to return to the residence and he still woke up that early this morning? How could his body take it? It seemed that she had to go to the wine cellar to take a few jugs of health preserving medicinal wines to nourish the body.

“Lady, the third young master missed the wines you brew. In the morning, he came to the wine cellar and took two small jugs to drink in the pavilion outside.” After Chun Xi tidied the bed, she walked to her lady’s side while stifling her laugh.

Jiang Ningbao: “…..”

After washing her face and rinsing her mouth, Jiang Ningbao changed to an apricot colored long dress and had on a simple hairstyle. On her head, a ruby hairpin was set slanted on her head, embellished with a few pearl head-ornaments. She fastened two jades on her waist and as she walked the jades bumped each other and produced a clear and melodious sound.

Seeing the tender and beautiful woman in the bronze mirror, Jiang Ningbao pondered and took two ruby bracelets from the accessory box and put them on her hands. Then, she walked out of the room.

“Chun Xi, let’s go. Don’t let my brother wait too long.”

Every time Chun Xi saw her lady dressing up simply when she wanted to go out, she would be stunned. As expected, a person with beautiful looks and good bearing would be pleasing to the eyes no matter what one was wearing.

The west courtyard in Changning Count Residence was rather big and there was an intricate octagonal wayside pavilion. In leisure time, Jiang Ningbao liked to admire the view from there. It’s just that after only Chun Xi was left from the servants, she had not gone there for a long time.

In the wayside pavilion, a handsome man wearing blue robes was sitting with two male servants behind him. The man was enjoying the wine and as the sunlight fell on him, he looked as if he was covered in golden glow.

Seeing the beautiful woman walking over, the blue robed man in the wayside pavilion gave a warm smile.

Yesterday night, the blue robed man who was Jiang Jin asked the male servants about the matter involving his little sister. It was then that he knew that when he was not present, his little sister experienced many things.

Most of which Ningbao did not write in the letters.

Ningbao’s acts of breaking the pot and stumble made Jiang Jin feel heartache aside from a headache. Heir Xie’s annulling the engagement, oldest aunt and oldest uncle changing their faces, and oldest aunt even still wanted to take his little sister’s dowry with grandmother watching coldly at the side. He, as the older brother, was in Azure Mountain Academy, beyond one’s reach, and she could only rely on herself.

No wonder Ningbao changed so much.

When they were little, his little sister was very fierce but under their mother’s guidance, she turned to the soft and feeble noble lady and hid her claws. Now, she took them out again.

He did not know whether this was good or bad.

The only thing he was glad about was that Ningbao’s fiance was Duke Ding. If it was other people, Jiang Jin was afraid that his little sister would be disliked by the husband’s family.

With a round of clear sounds, Jiang Ningbao led her two servants to get in the wayside pavilion and sat beside Jiang Jin. She looked at the wines on the table and her brows curved as she held in her laughter.

“Brother, I specially woke up early to eat breakfast with you. Aren’t you touched?”

“Touched. How can I not be?” Jiang Jin retracted his thoughts and flicked her nose in a pampering manner. He then ordered the servants to take the breakfast over.

“Brother, the weather is not bad today, why don’t you accompany me strolling the streets? It’s been a long time since we went out to play together.” Jiang Ningbao’s eyes flashed with reminiscence.

“Alright. This time, brother will be at home for seven days.” Jiang Jin agreed and thought of the time when they were small and secretly went out to play then hid it from their parents. His mouth raised with a warm smile.

From the time their parents met with mishap, they were always at home for mourning period and did not go out.

This time, he could accompany Ningbao.

As for going to Clear Water Temple to visit oldest uncle and oldest aunt, it won’t take long.

Jiang Ningbao’s face showed her excitement. Her older brother had seven days to spare and she could go out to play with her older brother. A month later, she would get married and she probably won’t have much time to meet with her older brother.

“Brother, I’ve brewed a lot of wines lately. When you go back to the academy, remember to take some with you. When you’re tired from studying, you can drink some health preserving wine to relax. You know that the wines I brew are beneficial to the body.”

Jiang Ningbao spoke with worry.

Jiang Jin nodded with a smile as his heart felt warm. He thought of the wine cellar that was filled with wine jugs he saw this morning and could not help but tease, “Ningbao, this morning, I saw your wine cellar is filled with win jugs. When did you become so diligent?”

Although his little sister had the mystical wine brewing skills, she rarely made wine.

The wine cellar was that big and every single time, it would be empty. At most, there would be ten and more jugs of wine.

“I’ve been a diligent girl since I was little. The wine cellar never stops having wines.”

“That’s right. A diligent girl.” Jiang Jin smiled as he flicked her nose.

His little sister was more lively than usual. Yes, her face also thickened a lot. When their parents were present, the wines in the wine cellar would be consumed quickly and every single time, his little sister would spend a day brewing a few jugs of wine to put in the wine cellar when a single jug was left.

With this lazy nature, she was not ashamed to say that she’s a diligent lady.
