“Don’t speak, pretend that you’ve hung up the phone and put the phone in the bag.”

“No matter what, you have to be calm. Wait for me.”

Tang Zheng had an unspeakable fear in his heart. That driver’s voice was too weird. That sentence of ‘arrive home soon’ was very suspicious. In normal circumstances, a driver won’t say this.

Arrive home soon, whose home?

Tang Zheng’s eyes were dark and he ran out of the villa quickly. He located Tang Guo’s position and seeing the red dot on the GPS going toward outside of the city, he felt worried and at the same time, felt fortunate that his phone call was on time.

Tang Guo did not hang up the phone and put the phone inside the bag as she propped her chin while looking outside.

Seeing the view outside the window changing from the flourishing and bustling city to the rare view of stars, she still had on a pure smile.

“Driver, this does not seem to be the way back home, did you get lost?”

The driver lit up a cigarette and said, “Little girl, you don’t go out often, do you? This is the way back home, if you feel hard to wait, sleep first. When we arrive, I’ll wake you up.”

The driver stealthily observed the girl on the back seat. He was lucky today to get a beautiful customer.

Seeing her outfit, she should be a wealthy miss, wasn’t she?

Really naive and pure. He liked this kind of neat girl the most, looking above worldly materials.

He liked it the most seeing their helpless gazes and their wretched cries. The white face with tears looked very pitiful.

Once he imagined the scene ahead, he became excited until his face turned red. The speed of the car increased and the view outside the window flew quick.

Slowly, the view of the stars disappeared and the girl sitting on the back seat did not seem calm anymore. Her face appeared unsettled and nervous. Her pair of unsettled eyes felt like the eyes of a startled deer.

The driver’s heart was jumping. If it weren’t because the members of the group met with mishap lately, he wanted to stop at a place with no one around to do it.

What an obedient girl and what a tender and lovely face, like a blooming flower, calling people could not bear to destroy it.

“Driver, drive back, I want to go home. This is not the road home.”

The driver’s smile became hideous and the speed did not decrease but increase. “We’ll arrive home soon, don’t be worried.”

“Stop the car, I want to go down.”

Seeing the girl opening the door, the driver took out a sharp knife and slashed at the back. “Better behave. If not, I will butcher you.”

“Better listen. If not, I won’t let you live tomorrow.”

His hideous face made the girl scared to tremble at the back seat, as if she forgot other things and only looked at him in fear.

The driver was satisfied. The girl in the back seat seemed to not go out often and had no basic survival skills. It lessened some trouble for him.

【Host, you must have studied at a melodramatic university, right? Your scores must not be bad, right?】

Look, the small face was pale white and a tear hung in her eyes as she hugged herself and trembled in a corner. She looked very pitiful like a small white flower, making others pity her.

【Host, I feel that your action has a deeper meaning.】

“Do you still remember that in the script, there was an unusual criminal group?” Tang Guo acted pitifully on the outside but she was conversing with the system on the inside. “This driver is one of the members.”

【How can you know? In the original body’s memory, she had never seen him, right?】

And a fellow translator taught me to put up the following for bonus additional chapters.

In my ko-fi page: ko-fi.com/ozarafortunata

Every $15, I will release another chapter aside from the regular ones. I will call this Cherry or Cherry Goal.

Every 9 Cherries, I will release 5 additional chapters in a day aside from regular chapters.

And there is a hidden Goal that if the conditions are achieved, I will update 10 additional chapters in a day. But I won’t tell the conditions, think of it as a game.

Note: These cherries accumulation will be refreshed every month.

Rest assured, this won’t affect the updates of regular chapters at all. It’s only for releasing more chapters other than the regular chapters.

And every time I feel motivated, I will update additional chapters. I will also give mass release a minimum of once a year on random dates. Thank you!

  1. Thank you for the updates but it’s been a month plus since the last update, I just want to ask if you’re planning to drop this novel.
