Ningbao actually praised one another with the woman who stole her ex-fiance.

Not only Jiang Jin was dumbfounded, the people present were too. What kind of situation was this? Where was the catfight between two women?

Fu Wanning: “…..”

Ningbao and Miss Yang exchanged hidden blows with a speed that was neither fast nor slow, making others open their horizon.

Let’s not speak about Miss Yang. She belonged to Anyuan Marquis Residence and the inner fights there were fierce. It was not weird for her to be this calm.

But Ningbao was different. She came from Changning Count Residence and her parents loved each other, there was no concubine. Now, seeing her calmly revealed Miss Yang’s cards, even with Duke Ding’s help, she was not to be belittled.

“It’s already late, I should go back to the residence. I thank Jiang fourth miss for everything today.” Yang Shuqing still smiled faintly but her eyes were ice cold.

“Farewell, Miss Yang.” Jiang Ningbao replied with a smile.

Xie Jingyi looked at Jiang Ningbao with a complicated gaze when he left and he smiled mockingly to himself. Indeed, he had never understood this ex-fiancee and he did not know how many sides she had.

“Jiang third young master, Jiang fourth miss, farewell.”

Xie Jingyi spoke with his cool voice and left Jinjiang Teahouse with Yang Shuqing whose identity was exposed.

“Brother, Wanning, let’s go to the room to drink flower wine.” Jiang Ningbao held her older brother’s hand once more and gave Fu Wanning a soft and beautiful smile.

“Okay.” Jiang Jin smiled warmly and ignored the gazes of the noble ladies on the second floor. He felt a bit dizzy. Ningbao actually grew to this point. In the future, he could worry less.

Fu Wanning smiled as she nodded.

The three of them led the servants to the exclusive compartment on the second floor.

“Ningbao, is this Jinjiang Teahouse related to you?” After the manager served a kettle of high quality peach blossom wine, Fu Wanning pursed her lips and asked with a smile.

Jiang Ningbao was surprised. She did not think that Fu Wanning would notice this detail. She poured a cup of peach blossom wine for her older brother and nodded in acknowledgement.

“Jinjiang Teahouse is my property.”

Fu Wanning: “…..”

Yang Shuqing had Upper Cloud Wine Shop while Ningbao had Jinjiang Teahouse.

This news was too shocking. She had to calm herself. It turned out that Ningbao was really not simple.

“Amazing. Compared to you guys, aside from my family background, I really had nothing worth comparing.” Fu Wanning shook her head and could not help but sighed.

“Wanning, everyone has something they’re good at. Don’t use your shortcomings to compare with others’ strong points. I’m just borrowing Duke Ding’s power and influence. Just think, Jinjiang Teahouse’s backing is Duke Ding. Back when I had an engagement with Heir Xie, Duke Ding agreed tacitly and now, I am Duke Ding’s fiancé…..”

Jiang Ningbao smiled with pursed lips and did not continue speaking, but Fu Wanning understood what she meant and laughed, “This is your fate with Duke Ding.”

“I also think so. Brother, what do you say?” Jiang Ningbao tilted her head as she looked at her older brother who was sitting straight as he tasted the wine. She blinked her eyes and asked with a smile.

Jiang Jin tasted the peach blossom wine that was diluted. A pampering smile appeared on his handsome face, “Yes, yes, you are right.” He felt helpless in his heart. Now, he only wanted to raise his family and he had no intention to date.

Miss Fu was a good lady, but the distance between them was too large. It was not possible.

Jiang Ningbao: “…..”

Fu Wanning laughed as she covered her mouth, a trace of admiration flashed across her eyes. This Older Brother Jiang really pampered his sister with no bound.

“Wanning, are you engaged?” Jiang Ningbao could not help asking. Although she knew the probability of her getting together with her older brother was next to nothing, she still wanted Wanning, this sworn sister, to live well and not be schemed by Yang Shuqing.

Fu Wanning shook her head, “My marriage is settled by grandfather.”

Jiang Ningbao thought silently. The Left Minister was probably gambling. Now that King Qin and King Jin’s influences were the fiercest, choosing one out of the two was a difficult choice. He also had to guard against the accidents that would occur after.

The book revealed that in the end, this Left Minister won the gamble in the previous life and his daughter became a high-ranking imperial concubine.

In this life, because of Yang Shuqing, Left Minister Residence and King Jin Residence became enemies and Fu Wanning got a tragic end with a ruined reputation.

Wanning was of similar age with her now and she was not engaged yet. The Left Minister was probably still observing. At the latter half of that year, older brother would participate in the provincial examination. After passing this test, he still needed to reveal his talents in the imperial examination next year and had the hipe to become the third place like in the book.

With one year different, many things could happen.

Jiang Ningbao then completely put down the idea of making Wanning her sister-in-law. It was not bad becoming best friends. Hence, Jiang Ningbao started to talk about other things with Wanning and pulled her brother in the conversation.

Jiang Jin saw his sister giving up on match-making him and Miss Fu and his heart became at ease as he entered the conversation.
